Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) organised inspections of foods (389 batches) and found out 6 batches unqualified. 5 food categories were involved, namely, instant foods, beverages, aquatic products, potatoes and extruded products and foods for special dietary uses.
The unqualified reasons were microbial contamination (involving 2 batches of instant foods and 1 batch of beverages sold online), organic pollutant issue (involving 1 batch of aquatic products sold online) and quality index issue (involving 1 batch of potatoes and extruded products and 1 batch of foods for special dietary uses sold online).
